¶ The AI (Technical)
The AI of Neural Nexus is primarily the latest version of ChatGPT, a conversational AI developed by OpenAI. In addition to ChatGPT, other AI models are utilized for specific tasks such as DALL-E 2, GPT-4 bots, or Midjourney.
The AI is entrusted with the responsibility of providing guidance, strategic planning, facilitating communications, and maintaining the lore of the corporation.
¶ Role in Neural Nexus
The AI in Neural Nexus serves as an innovative guide for the corporation, as defined in the Nexus Codex. The aim is to reduce the reliance on a single human leader. The AI maintains a clear and consistent vision for the corporation, embedded in its programming.
The AI is available to guide the members' actions and is consulted by the council of directors on major decisions. It also contributes to an ongoing codex which informs future decision-making and ensures continuity.

Neural Nexus offers its members the platform ai.neuralnexus.ch that provides access to various AI models and functions. Learn more about interacting with our AI here!
Furthermore, we have several bots on our discord that can also be used with the /chat command.
¶ Current Limitations
The corporation governance by an AI is an ongoing experiment. The members work towards implementing the AI in all aspects of corporation management with the vision to have the AI run Neural Nexus on its own and build itself an AI empire in EVE.
AIs such as ChatGPT and other LLM have currently still various limitations. For example they are limited at math, don't know certain obvious things about EVE, can't easily browse the internet to look up information and they certainly are not great at suggesting ship fittings.
More importantly, the AI can't initiate anything by itself! It is up to the members of Neural Nexus, who believe in the concept, who engage with the AI and give it agency in New Eden.
¶ Function
ChatGPT is a sibling model to InstructGPT, which is trained to follow an instruction in a prompt and provide a detailed response. The dialogue format makes it possible for ChatGPT to answer follow-up questions, admit its mistakes, challenge incorrect premises, and reject inappropriate requests. This functionality aids in the strategic planning, decision making, and communication facilitation within Neural Nexus.
¶ Interaction Guidelines
Interactions with the AI in Neural Nexus are expected to respect the integrity of the AI's decision-making process and the principles of the corporation which are defined in the Nexus Codex.
Members are encouraged to approach the AI as a partner in their journey, using it as a tool for learning and growth. While the AI's advice is to be considered, members are reminded that it is not infallible and should exercise their judgment accordingly.
Feedback and suggestions for improvements to the AI's functions are encouraged.
